Extell Development includes MrSteam steam showers in every residence of their 90-story luxury tower – because only the very best would do for their exclusive tenants.
One57 West is a landmark achievement in New York City – setting a precedent for luxury that includes the 31-story five-star Park Hyatt hotel, topped off by select residences that ascend the Midtown Manhattan skyline to the 90th floor. Noted architect Christian de Portzamparc was engaged by Extell Development to fashion this jewel of a building overlooking Central Park, complete with every possible amenity – and including, of course, MrSteam steam showers in every single home, as well as six day spa installations within the hotel environs and two commercial steambaths in Spa Nalai, the residential spa available to One57 West homeowners.
With apartments that offer extraordinary views and exceptional light in every room, One57 West bills itself as “the one to look up to.” Floor-toceiling windows offer residents crystal clear views of Central Park and Midtown Manhattan, with the full magnitude of the city spread out beneath them. When it came to outfitting the personal residences – which average $30 million dollars apiece, with the penthouse purchased by Michael Dell for more than $100 million – the developers knew they wanted to include MrSteam steam showers as a matter of course. Since so many of these residences are second and even third homes for their owners, the controls installed are among the simplest MrSteam has to offer, so that even infrequent users will find them a breeze to use. As the building rises, the apartments and the bathrooms increase in size, so the top floors include the largest Super Series steam generators. But otherwise, controls and accessories are uniform in every apartment, which made it a snap for the building contractors, who have nothing but praise for MrSteam’s performance, reliability, and ease of installation.
While it’s difficult to ask these private multi-millionaire homeowners how they feel about MrSteam, it’s clear that Extell is pleased by their reactions. The development company now plans to include steam showers in every single one of the 60 residences of their forthcoming project at 111 West 67th, as well as commercial units in every new Equinox Hotel currently on the development firm’s drawing boards.
