The manager of a small, nationally-recognized consulting business in the kitchen and bath industry transforms her bathroom from 1950s shabby to a style that would last for the next 20 years, adopting the ultimate steam experience along the way.
Leah Peterson is living the dream in Charlotte, NC – she is the mother of a young son and is married to her best friend. She describes her neighborhood as “chock full of 1950-70s homes” that young families are remodeling. Her own home needed to be transformed from a house suffering an identity crisis of Honduran mahogany wood paneling intermingled with traditional finishes and furnishings. The shocking discovery of turquoise tile hidden beneath a cunning white spray was the impetus to begin a comprehensive remodel of the bathroom.

One change the Petersons made was to move the control panel to the inside of the shower. By doing this, they were able to turn the unit on and off, as well as manage the Chroma, Aroma and Music Therapies from inside of the shower. As Leah says: “The shower has fulfilled my dream and made our remodeling project complete. It’s everything I could have ever wanted in a place to relax and unwind or get motivated and re-energized.
